How Ratings and Reviews Are Collected

The ratings on this page come from Martindale-Hubbell, which collects peer reviews from attorneys and client reviews from people who have worked with the firm. A peer rating reflects the assessment of other lawyers practicing in the same field; a client review reflects the experience of someone who hired the office.

Reviews are published as they are received. The office does not edit them, and it does not ask a client to take down a review that is critical. If you have worked with the firm and would like to add your own account, the Martindale-Hubbell profile accepts client reviews directly.

Reading a Peer Rating

Martindale rates attorneys on two measures: legal ability and general ethical standards. A Distinguished rating indicates an attorney who is widely respected by peers for professional achievement and ethical practice. The rating is not a measure of whether a particular case was won or lost, and it is not a prediction about the outcome of a new matter.

Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
